Back to school (part 2)...

So following the back to school theme, I thought I'd talk about my school life and bulling and other sort of school related topics, and my views on school!

So when I was younger I used to love school, and I would spend my summer just waiting for the first day back, but now with school being one of my main places for anxiety and panic attacks, I find my self kind of dreading it!
The same as everyone, there are some classes I enjoy, and some I hate. The way my school works is we change into our new years and start our new timetables and class schedules a month before be finish up for the summer holidays so the primary sevens can have their induction days (which is basically where they come up to high school for the first time to meet their teachers and get a feel for what high schools going to be like), and also so we know our classes and stuff for starting back and can get settled in pretty quickly.
In first and second year in my school, you don't get to choose your subjects, but going in to third year (which is the year I'm going into) you do, which everyone gets really excited about! So this year I chose biology (I really hate science but you have to take at least one). I also chose business management, graphic communication/design, art, german and for my social subjects I chose history and modern studies. I really wanted to take geography too but the maximum amount of social subjects you're allowed to take is two (which sucks because you're allowed to take all three sciences!) and then english, math and religious moral and philosophical studies (which is basically learning about religion and different ethnics and stuff) are all mandatory subjects.
So I've got quite a wide variation and even though if it was up to me I wouldn't take graph com or biology or business, you need to take one design, one IT and one science (which also sucks).

In first and second year in my school you have a practical class, a non practical and a tutorial. Your non practical class is like english, german, history and your practical class is like art and science and you stay in those classes for your first two years. Naturally you've really bonded with those people after two years and I absolutely loved my classes, they were so funny and literally the worst behaved in our year which was why it was so hilarious. Everyone was friends with each other and we all spoke to each other which is why its really hard to now be moved into new classes with new people and its really sad that some of those people that I only ever spoke to during classes I probably won't speak to again.

I'm definitely the sort of class clown… I like to wind up teachers and get sent out and given punishment exercises but it made everyone like me and I thought that was a good thing. This year I'm going to try really hard to focus and do my very best because my teachers and mum get frustrated with me because I'm "a really smart girl with a lot of potential", (hmm, heard that one before?) but I really do want to follow through with homework and try my best with my studies. That doesn't mean to say I have to be miserable but class time is class time, not for joking around!

I know this is really complicated if your not familiar with the UK school system but I hope it wasn't toooo confusing? Thanks so much for reading, as always, and even though tomorrow is my first day back I will try and keep up with my blog as much as possible (even if its not everyday!)

Get to know me...

I've always wanted a blog, or a youtube channel but I've always been worried about people in my school finding it. As much as I would loooove to be a 'youtuber', its hard to be anonymous when your face is on the screen (eek), so I figured a blog is the way to go! I hope this lets you guys get to know me a little bit better and to stop me rambling, I decided to use some 'get to know me' questions for inspiration so I hope this isn't too boring!

As I said in my last post, I absolutely love instagram. I love sort of hipster/hippie/tumblr themed pictures and I love all kind of hipster/hippie kind of clothes and accessories. I love doing messy buns and loose pony tails and little pleats and I literally live for beauty. I love buying and testing out new make up and adding bits to my collection (I'll have my makeup collection up soon!) and trying new bits and pieces.

I'm quite a shy person when you first meet me and I'm so socially awkward, its unreal. I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder which makes it hard to do normal things that most people my age would take in their stride (so also let me know if you'd like a post regarding that and how I personally deal with it) but starting in 2015 (only because that seems quite a bit away!) I'm going to try and so more things that would put me out of my comfort zone. My inspiration is Zoella, as she's really helped me understand what was actually going on and has inspired me to just say yes more often!…

I'm a really fussy eater and I literally can't watch movies without taking breaks in-between because I get so bored! I'm going into my third year of secondary school and although its going to take some getting used to, I think this could be a really good year for me.
I believe in karma, and the universe and I pray to something, even though I'm just not sure what. I believe in miracles and being grateful for everything you have in life.
I love interior design and decorating. I love fairy lights, candles and fluffy blankets, and thing that makes a room cosy and 'tumblr'…

I absolutely love reading blogs and I'm trying so hard to get this up to the standards of some other blogs I've seen and I can't wait till the time when my blog actually becomes successful so thank you so much for reading because every person counts!

Instagram!

Instagram is one of the most popular social networking sites and can be used for business or just for fun. I've spent a lot of time on my instagram and it's taken a lot of effort and patience to get it to where I want it but it was worth it because now I'm absolutely in love with it! In the post I'll tell you about how I edit my instagram pictures and how I got more attention to my page!

First of all my instagram theme…
My instagram has a sort of tumblr/hippie/hipster vibe to it. I just love finding cute pictures and I love the way they all look together. On my instagram I just post some of my favourite pictures that I find on tumblr or on the internet and love sharing them with other people.

How I edit my pictures:
There are so many different things you can use to edit your pictures and so many different ways to do it. The app I use is called Squaready (I'll leave a link to it in the app store at the end!) which lets you put your picture on a coloured background so you can fit the whole thing onto instagram without cropping it, but I like to do a plain white background on all my pictures as I love the way it looks with the white gaps in between them. I also use the in app editor to add filters and crop my pictures to how I want them.

How to get likes and followers:
I've been on instagram for a while now but I didn't change my account into a tumblr account until about 8 weeks ago and thats when I started to gain followers and get more likes on my pictures. There are a number of things you can do to promote your instgram and they can be a great way to start out. The first thing you can do is probably the most simple but you just need to get yourself out there. I'd recommend liking and commenting on some posts of blogs similar to yours. Theres a chance they'll click on your page and realise you have similar tastes and decide to follow you! The other thing you can do related to that is comment things like 'I love your blog, would you mind checking mine out?' Just remember to be friendly and if someone ignores you don't keep asking them, just try with some other people!
Another way to get yourself out there is with hashtags. Hashtags let you tag your photo which will allow your posts to appear to people if they search up that tag. You can just add any tags you want but the more effective way to do it is to add 'tags for likes'. These are hashtags made up by a website that are the most commonly used on instgram which means your picture will come up in more places. The website I use is http://www.tagsforlikes.com
Then from there all you do is copy some tags and paste them when you post your photo. If someone likes your photo or follows you, like or follow back! Its a great way to get more likes and follow as well.

I hope you liked this and found some of it useful! If you want to check out my instagram you can click the icon on the right hand side of my blog!
